Welcome to the most authentic Christmas. Welcome to Lapland — with #SantaClausInLapland.
Day 1 – Heading to the Heart of Christmas with #SantaClausInLapland The most magical journey of the year begins! We meet at Barcelona Airport, where the #SantaClausInLapland and Catai team will be waiting to assist you with the check-in process. We board our direct flight to Rovaniemi, the official hometown of Santa Claus and the capital of Finnish Lapland. We land in a snowy fairytale world and transfer to the enchanting Santa Claus Village, located right on the legendary Arctic Circle. Our home for the next few days will be the warm and cozy wooden cabins of the Santa Claus Holiday Village, nestled in the heart of this winter wonderland. Upon arrival, we’ll receive our thermal suits—faithful companions for the entire trip. After settling in, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant, the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere. Lapland welcomes us with open arms and snowy charm!
Day 2 – White Adventure: Snowmobile Safari After a delicious buffet breakfast, we dive straight into one of the most thrilling experiences of the trip: a snowmobile safari. Equipped with helmets and gloves, and after a short safety briefing, we begin our snowy adventure. Adults will ride in pairs on the snowmobiles, while children travel safely in sleds pulled by the guide. We glide through snowy forests and frozen rivers, surrounded by the silence and magic of the Arctic. We stop by a crackling campfire to enjoy a traditional Nordic snack: grilled sausages and warm drinks. In the afternoon, those seeking more action can join an optional snow karting and mini snowmobile activity, perfect for both kids and grown-up adrenaline lovers. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 – Arctic Thrills: Husky Safari & Ice Wonderland Today, we follow the call of the wild with a husky safari. After breakfast, we head to a real husky farm, where we’ll meet these incredible Arctic dogs. Warm, strong, and eager to run, they’ll pull our sleds through the snowy forest trails. We’ll learn to handle the sleds and head out in teams of 4 to 6 huskies, feeling the frozen wind on our faces and the heartbeat of Lapland beneath our feet. After a light lunch, the afternoon is free for personal exploration. We recommend two included gems:
-
Arktikum Museum, where you’ll explore the history, Sami culture, and life inside the Arctic Circle.
-
SnowmanWorld, a frozen wonderland filled with sculptures, slides, and family fun.
We return to the warmth of our cabins for dinner and a well-earned rest.
Day 4 – The Big Day: Elves, Santa Claus & a Magical New Year’s Eve Today is the highlight of the entire trip—for kids and adults alike. After breakfast, a bus will take us to a secret forest, where the magical Christmas Story of Joulukka begins. Friendly elves welcome us into their world and invite us to their Elf School in a traditional Sami kota, where we’ll decorate gingerbread cookies and complete magical tasks to become Santa’s official helpers—earning a diploma, of course! Then, we’ll enter the Secret Elf Command Center, full of lights, surprises, and enchantment. And finally, the moment everyone’s been waiting for: a private family visit with Santa Claus, in his cozy cabin. Each child will receive a gift from Santa himself—a memory to treasure forever. After lunch at Joulukka, we visit a reindeer farm, where we’ll sip hot drinks by a fire and enjoy a peaceful sleigh ride through the snow. As night falls, we prepare for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve at the Arctic Snow Hotel, built entirely from snow and ice. We’ll tour the magical facilities—including the ice chapel, frozen restaurant, and even an ice sauna—and participate in the Sami tin casting ceremony, which reveals our fortunes for the year ahead. At midnight, we welcome the new year with fireworks under the Arctic stars, and maybe, if luck is on our side, the Northern Lights will dance above to mark the moment. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5 – Final Lapland Moments & Return Home Our final morning in the Arctic begins with a buffet breakfast full of energy. Before heading home, we’ll enjoy some free time with one last adventure: skiing at the local resort, which offers five alpine slopes, children’s areas, snowboarding zones, and a sledding hill. Ski equipment is available for rent, and the lifts have a capacity of over 3,700 people per hour—perfect for one final thrill! We then transfer to Rovaniemi Airport for our direct flight back to Barcelona. We return home with full hearts, snowy memories, and magical moments that will last a lifetime.
