Day 1. Spain / Rovaniemi / Santa Claus Village

Arrive at the airport with enough time to check in for your flight. There will be a special direct flight to Rovaniemi. Snacks will be provided on board. Meet with our travel guide and set off for Santa Claus Village. This is where the Santa Claus Holiday Village cabins are located. Get settled in your cabin and then head over to a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 2. Santa Claus Village. Snowmobile safari and optional excursion

Start off the morning with a delicious breakfast buffet at the hotel. Before heading out for the day, pick up the thermal suits that will be provided for you to use during your entire stay in Lapland. Today we will set off on a snowmobile safari. To do this, you will be provided with helmets and gloves as well as instructions from the guides. The adults will drive the snowmobiles (2 per snowmobile) and the children will be in a sled that is being pulled by the guide's snowmobile. Enjoy the amazing views that Lapland has to offer as you travel through the snowy forest and pass by frozen rivers. There will be a light lunch during the excursion. Return to the hotel and you have your afternoon free. Optional go-karting excursion you can add to your trip.
Dinner at the resort's restaurant.

Optional excursion: Go-karting and mini snowmobiles

You will be transferred to the go-karting center, where you will enjoy an exciting new experience. Drive special made go-karts meant to move on snow or ice. In groups of 5 or 6 people, everyone will have a chance to drive their own kart. This fun and easy activity can be enjoyed by everyone. The minimum height requirement is 5 ft, the height at which the driver can reach the accelerator and brake pedals. Children who cannot drive the karts will be able to drive the mini-snowmobiles (ages 4 to 11 years old). Important: a minimum of 10 participants is required to carry out this excursion.

Day 3. Santa Claus Village. Joulukka Christmas Adventure and Reindeer Farm

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Today you will be meeting the person that all the kids have been waiting for. You will travel by bus to a secret place in the woods.... Joulukka! Santa Claus secret forest. Arriving at this magical place, where the elves have taken care of everything. Upon your arrival, the elves will be waiting to take you to a wooden kota (a traditional Sami hut) with a large fire in the center to warm you up. There you will participate in elf school, decorating your own gingerbread cookies. Those who pass will receive a beautiful diploma. Then you will have time to enjoy fun outdoor activities such as tobogganing, troll dancing, snow scooters and much more. Next, you will be guided to the secret "Elf control center". Families that pass the test will be led to a cabin for a private visit with Santa Claus. At the end of the visit, each child will receive a gift from Santa himself! We will end this experience with lunch at Joulukka's restaurant.

After lunch you will head over to the reindeer farm located nearby. There you can enjoy a lovely reindeer sleigh ride, a hot drink and a warm campfire. Back to the hotel and dinner at the resort's restaurant.

Day 4. Santa Claus Village. Husky Sled Ride

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. You will begin today's adventure by heading to a husky farm. Our furry friends are anxiously waiting for you to arrive. After the dogs are placed in their harnesses and separated into different teams (4-6 dogs per sled), you will start your sled ride. The guide will teach you how to handle and drive the sled. You will become a professional musher in no time. These well-trained huskies can pull up to seven times their weight. Experience the wind on your face as the huskies go racing through the beautiful Lappish white landscapes. There will be a light lunch during the excursion.

The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the village, visit the Arktikum Museum or Snowman World. Located near your accommodation, Snowman World is a world of ice and snow, with ice sculptures and slides for the little ones. The Arktikum Museum is one of the most famous museums in the city and is architecturally unique. Inside you will learn about the Sami culture and tradition, and the history of the city. Dinner at the resort’s restaurant.

Day 5. Santa Claus village. Optional excursions

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Today you will have a free day to enjoy the Village, visit the center of Rovaniemi with all its possibilities or join us on one of the optional excursions.

Dinner at the resort's restaurant.

Optional excursion: Polar Explorer Icebreaker

Without a doubt one of the best experiences that you can have in the Arctic! There will be an early bus departure to Sweden (approximately 2 hours). Before arriving, you can admire the imposing ship at the Axelsvik pier, in the town of Batskarsnas, a few kilometers from the border with Finland. This cruise lasts 3 hours. We start off with a tour of the ship, from the engine room to the bridge. You can walk around and explore the ship or relax in the lounge with a hot drink. See and feel how this massive ship breaks the ice under your feet. See as the ship maneuvers in a way that creates an ice-free hole. Perfect for… swimming!! Put on a waterproof survival suit which will protect you and float in the water without feeling a bit of cold. This is a once in a lifetime experience. Once the cruise is over, you head over to a nearby restaurant for a light lunch and then return to Rovaniemi. (Total duration: Approximately 10 hours.)

Optional excursion: Ranua Zoo

Visit the northernmost zoo in the world! Departure by bus from Rovaniemi to Ranua Arctic Zoo (approximately 1 hour). On this excursion you will be able to see the native animals that populate these Arctic areas, not only just Finland but also Greenland and the North Pole. The zoo was built inside a forest, in the middle of nature. Walk around on the wooden walkways to see the different animals that call this zoo their home. During the winter everything is covered in snow, which allows you to see the animals in their natural habitat. You can see polar bears, moose, snowy owls and more. Lunch is included at the zoo restaurant. We recommend you stop by the Fazer store, Finland's most famous chocolate, before we leave.

Day 6. Santa Claus Village / Rovaniemi / Spain

Enjoy the breakfast buffet. Today you have free time until it is time to be driven to the airport. You can spend your morning skiing in the alpine ski resort. There are five available slopes and special slopes just for kids. The ski lifts can take almost 3700 people per hour. You can rent skis and buy the lift ticket for an hour. Depart for Rovaniemi airport. Snacks will be provided on board. Arrival and end of your adventure in Lapland.

Santa Claus Holiday Village

Santa Claus has built his own special resort of wood cabins right next to his house, just above the Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi. Open since 2011 there are more than 140 apartments available. Each standard apartment has plenty of space for family of four (2 adults and 2 children), furnished with two beds and an additional sofa bed, a heating system, a bathroom with a shower, sauna, fully equipped kitchen and a flat screen TV.
For larger families it is possible to request a complete cabin, which consists of two apartments that are connected. This location includes clean bed linens and towels, Wi-Fi, and the free use of their sleds and snow scooters located in each cabin.
The special suites or superior cabins are available as well. Slightly larger than the other cabins, these rooms are decorated with materials and crafts from Lapland. This option includes bathrobes, slippers, daily room cleaning and transfer of your luggage to your cabin both at the beginning and end of your stay.
This resort is located only a few feet away from the most famous person in Lapland, 6 miles away from the center of Rovaniemi and 5 minutes from the airport.
