Rovaniemi is the administrative capital of Lapland and the main airport. It had to be rebuilt after World War II by the prestigious Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, who drew the silhouette of a reindeer's horns on the plans and built the network of streets on it. Si aún no han tenido tiempo, les recomendamos acercarse a la Aldea de Santa Claus, situada justo sobre la imaginaria y mágica línea del Círculo Polar Ártico, donde podrán visitar sus tiendas de artesanía y souvenirs, enviar una carta o postal desde la Oficina de Correos oficial de Papá Noel y visitar las diferentes atracciones que forman parte de este mundo mágico. A la hora indicada saldremos hacia el aeropuerto de Rovaniemi para realizar los trámites de facturación de nuestro vuelo directo de regreso a España. Cuando viajes a Laponia, una de las visitas ineludibles en la ciudad de Rovaniemi es El Arktikum. Este museo es mucho más que eso, es un centro de gran interés arquitectónico diseñado por los daneses Birch-Bonderup&Thorup-Waade y su peculiar bóveda por Bonderup y Lehtipalo. Prices for snowmobile and sleigh tours are based on two people sharing the vehicle, one driving the snowmobile and one as a passenger. Stops are made during the journey where passengers can exchange their position.
The minimum age to drive snowmobiles is 18 years old.
During the snowmobile excursion, minors travel in a sled as indicated in the itinerary.
In order to drive a snowmobile it is mandatory to be in possession of a car or motorcycle driver's license, valid in Europe.
All the snowmobiles have full-risk insurance, with an excess of $980, for which each participant is responsible in the event of an accident. The guides inform about it during the excursions.
Due to the idiosyncrasy of this arctic region and its very particular climatic conditions, the organizing company cannot guarantee a priori the optimal snow and ice conditions for carrying out the activities. In the event that some cause of force majeure does not allow the total or partial performance of any activity and this must be canceled or reduced due to lack of snow or ice, an alternative activity will be carried out or the amount thereof will be reimbursed.
