This modern resort, with a very special design, has an idyllic seaside location on the picturesque Malangen peninsula, just an hour's drive from Tromsø, the largest city in northern Norway. This place offers us a unique magical combination of fjord and mountain with everything you need for a memorable stay. Its privileged location and wonderful surroundings make this site an ideal place to see the Northern Lights, enjoy nature and the winter activities offered by the resort.

Day 1. Tromsø

Flight departure to Tromsø. Arrival and transfer to the hotel on your own accord. Accommodation.

Day 2. Tromsø/Malangen

Half pension. Free morning to discover Tromsø, also called the “Paris of the North”, the largest city in Northern Norway. You can visit the Arctic Cathedral, take the Fjellheisen cable car up the Storsteinen mountain from where you can see the city. In the afternoon transfer to the Malangen resort (approx. 1h30 minutes drive) which will be our base for the following days. Dinner and accommodation.

Days 3 and 4. Malangen

Half pension. Free days to carry out the optional excursions that we propose, enjoy the wonderful landscapes that surround you or the services of the resort. All optional excursions include a light hot lunch. During our stay we will make an excursion to see the Northern Lights and if at the end of it we have not had any luck, our guides will continue looking at the skies to let us know if any appear.

Day 5. Malangen/Tromsø

Breakfast buffet at the hotel. Free morning to continue enjoying an excursion or relax with the wonderful views. In the early afternoon departure by bus/minibus to Tromsø. Rest of the afternoon free. Accommodation.

Day 6. Tromsø

Breakfast. Scandinavian buffet breakfast at the hotel. Rest of the morning free to do optional activities. Transfer to the airport on your own. Departure by flight back home. Arrival.

Optional Excursions

Snowmobile safari - Price: $226 per person

Departure by minibus to "Camp Tamok" about 90 minutes. This unique excursion will provide you with an unforgettable experience while driving a snowmobile on a remote mountain only accessible by these vehicles. Driving is in pairs (a driver and a passenger) with the possibility of exchanging halfway. We will stop to enjoy a hot meal and drinks around a campfire.

All drivers must be over the age of 18 and have a valid driver's license. All passengers must be 15 years or older

Husky safari - Price: $203 per person

Visit to Nikka Camp where a group of huskies will welcome us. Their keepers will explain their daily life and training to us. After some instructions from their trainers, we will take a ride in a sleigh pulled by these dear friends through the snowy forests. At the end of the excursion we will have a light lunch before returning to Malangen Resort

Scandic Grand Tromso 4*

This modern hotel is located on the Storgata shopping street in the center of Tromsø. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from attractions such as the Polar Museum and the Arctic Church. The bus to the airport stops right outside the door. All rooms at Scandic Grand Tromsø have wooden floors, a minibar, and a flat-screen TV. Some have seating areas and stereos that can connect to smartphones and tablets. The on-site Gründer café-bar offers Norwegian cuisine and international dishes.

Malangen Resort 3*

Located in a privileged environment, facing the fjord and with impressive views of the mountains, and only 40 miles away there is the city of Tromso. It has a restaurant, bar, elevator, sauna, outdoor hot tub, laundry, souvenir shop, WiFi connection throughout the establishment, organization of excursions and activities.

Standard rooms (18 m): 1 double bed, full bathroom, WiFi, mountain or fjord views.
Superior rooms (26 m): Same description as the standard rooms, with sofa, small table and desk area.
Apartments (45m): Capacity 4 people. Located next to the sea, they have a comfortable lounge with sea views, plasma TV, internet and WiFi. Equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and W.C. 1 double room + 1 room with 2 bunk beds. Sheets, towels and cleaning on departure included. Wheelchair accessible.
Standard sea view cabins (85m): Capacity 4 people. Located by the sea or on the hill with spectacular views of the fjord. They consist of 2 floors; On the ground floor there is the living room and the kitchen and on the first floor 1 double room and 2 single rooms. The bathroom situation varies according to the type of cabin. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and kitchen utensils. All cabins have large balconies and have flat screen TVs. Sheets, towels and final cleaning on departure included.
Deluxe sea view cabins (102m): Capacity 6 people. Same description as the standard but consists of 3 double rooms. The main bedroom has 2 balconies. Bathroom on the first floor with views of the fjord and on the ground floor there is the kitchen, the living room and a toilet.
