During this time of the year, Ruka is transformed into a winter wonderland, with beautiful snowfalls and a sense of tranquility and peace. The landscapes are impressive and the nearby towns have an authentic Christmas atmosphere. Day 1 City of Origin - Rovaniemi - Ruka

At the indicated time, arrive at the airport with the assistance of our staff for the billing of the direct flight to Rovaniemi (Finland). Start your trip to Lapland here! Lunch on board with drinks included. Upon our arrival at destination we will make the transfer to our accommodation, which is located 200 km approx. From the airport. From small accommodations for two people in a glass igloo to large wooden cabins, we have accommodation for all kinds of needs. The cottages are located near the center of Ruka and in the village of Iisakki, 6 km away. A unique location surrounded by three National Parks: Oulanka National Park (with its famous hiking trail "The Bear's Trail"), Riisitunturi National Park and Julma Ölkky. Dinner included. Day 2 Ruka. Huskies sled

We have spent our first night in Lapland and after breakfast, we will start the day with a fantastic activity. We will go to visit a husky dog ​​farm to take an unforgettable walk through the snowy forest in a sled pulled by these charming animals and thus become true mushers. Before that, we will go through the safari office to equip ourselves with the thermal suit that will accompany us for the rest of our stay. The transfer will be carried out by bus to the farm, where these docile friends will be waiting for us, eager to carry out their tour. Once the instructions on how to drive the sled have been given, we will get going: each adult participant will drive their own sled (2 people for each sled, who will alternate the driver's position). Quite an arctic adventure! We will discover many curiosities of our new friends with the explanations of our guide. At the end of the safari, we will enjoy a tea/coffee with a small snack. Day 3 Ruka. Visit to the reindeer farm and meet Santa Claus

We continue to enjoy the destination and unique activities. After breakfast, we will be picked up to go to a reindeer farm where we will learn the details of these animals from their Lappish breeders. We will have the opportunity to go on a sleigh ride pulled by a reindeer and learn about their way of life. We will enjoy a coffee with some sweet pastry in a kota around the fire or at the reindeer farm. We will return to Ruka with time to rest, relax and prepare for the time that the little ones are waiting for. Free lunch. We will move to the secret house of Santa Claus that is located in the vicinity of Ruka. Santa's house in Lapland is in front of a lake with incredible winter views. It has an area with slides on the snow where children enjoy while Santa Claus awaits us in his cozy house with Mrs. Claus to meet him in person and have an unforgettable time. With the indelible memory and all the magic of this visit, we said goodbye to Santa Claus and started the short trip back to our cabin. Meal according to chosen accommodation. Accommodation.

Day 4 Ruka. Snowmobile safari.

After breakfast, we will transfer to the local safari house where we will equip ourselves with helmets, gloves and balaclavas to start the snowmobile safari. After the instructions of our guides to enjoy the experience in a safe way, we will start the adventure. Adults drive the snowmobiles (2 people per snowmobile) and children ride in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. We will contemplate the most bucolic landscapes during our journey, feeling the power of these machines in contrast to the silence of the snowy forest. After this fantastic adventure, we will return to our accommodation to relax. Lunch and free afternoon. We will be able to take the opportunity to ski in the RUKA alpine ski resort. At this station, both the ski lift ticket and the ski equipment can be purchased by the hour (from 3 hours to several days) and in a couple of hours you can enjoy many descents as there are usually no queues for the lifts. Normally, Ruka tends to have its slopes open from October to the middle or end of May and many of them are illuminated. Our local guide at the destination will advise us on schedules, ski pass prices, rental equipment and other details. Meal according to chosen accommodation.

Day 5 Ruka - Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Village) - City of origin.

Last day in Lappish lands. After breakfast, we will head back to Rovaniemi. Arrival at Santa Claus Village, located right on the imaginary and magical line of the Arctic Circle, where we can visit its craft and souvenir shops, send a letter or postcard from the official Santa Claus Post Office and visit the different attractions who are part of this magical world. With this visit we will be able to put the finishing touch to this dream trip. Continuation to the airport, located less than 3 km from the Santa Claus Village. Billing procedures for our direct flight to your city of origin. During the flight we will enjoy a snack-dinner on board with a drink included. Arrival and end of the trip.

Durante esta época del año, Ruka se transforma en un paraíso invernal, con hermosas nevadas y una sensación de tranquilidad y paz. Día 2 Ruka. Trineo de Huskies

Hemos pasado nuestra primera noche en Laponia y después del desayuno, comenzaremos el día con una fantástica actividad. Nos dirigiremos a visitar una granja de perros huskies para realizar un paseo inolvidable por el bosque nevado en un trineo tirado por estos encantadores animales y convertirnos así en auténticos mushers. Antes pasaremos por la oficina de safaris para equiparnos con el traje térmico que nos acompañará para el resto de nuestra estancia. El traslado lo realizaremos en autocar hasta la granja, donde nos estarán esperando estos dóciles amigos ansiosos de realizar su recorrido. Una vez dadas las instrucciones de cómo conducir el trineo, nos pondremos en marcha: cada participante adulto conducirá su propio trineo (2 personas por cada trineo, que se alternaran la posición de conductor). ¡Toda una aventura ártica! Descubriremos muchas curiosidades de nuestros nuevos amigos con las explicaciones de nuestro guía. Al acabar el safari, disfrutaremos de un té/café con un pequeño snack. Día 3 Ruka. Visita a la granja de renos y encuentro con Santa Claus

Seguimos disfrutando del destino y actividades únicas. Tras el desayuno, nos recogerán para trasladarnos hasta una granja de renos donde conoceremos los detalles de estos animales de mano de sus criadores lapones. Tendremos la oportunidad de realizar un paseo en trineo tirado por un reno y conoceremos su modo de vida. Disfrutaremos de un café con alguna pasta dulce en una kota alrededor del fuego o en la granja de renos. Regresaremos a Ruka con tiempo para descansar, relajarnos y prepararnos para la hora que los más pequeños están esperando. Almuerzo libre. Nos trasladaremos hasta la casa secreta de Santa Claus que está situada en las proximidades de Ruka. La casa de Papá Noel en Laponia está delante de un lago con increíbles vistas invernales. Dispone de una zona de toboganes sobre la nieve donde los niños disfrutan mientras que Papá Noel nos espera en su acogedora casa con la Sra Noel para conocerle en persona y pasar un rato inolvidable. Con el recuerdo imborrable y toda la magia de esta visita nos despedimos de Santa Claus y emprendemos el corto viaje de regreso a nuestra cabaña. Régimen alimenticio según alojamiento elegido. Día 4 Ruka. Safari en motos de nieve.

Después del desayuno, nos trasladarnos hasta la casa de safaris local donde nos equiparemos con cascos, guantes y pasamontañas para iniciar el safari en moto de nieve. Tras las instrucciones de nuestros guías para disfrutar de la experiencia de una forma segura, iniciaremos la aventura. Los adultos conducen las motos (2 personas por moto) y los niños viajan en un trineo que arrastra la motonieve del guía. Contemplaremos los paisajes más bucólicos durante nuestra travesía, sintiendo la potencia de estas máquinas en contraste con el silencio del bosque nevado. Tras esta fantástica aventura, regresaremos a nuestro alojamiento para relajarnos. Almuerzo y tarde libre. Podremos aprovechar para esquiar en la estación de esquí alpino de RUKA. En esta estación, tanto el ticket de remontadores como el material de esquí se pueden adquirir por horas (desde 3 horas hasta varios días) y en un par de horas se puede disfrutar de muchas bajadas al no existir colas en los remontadores habitualmente. Normalmente, Ruka suele tener sus pistas abiertas desde Octubre hasta mediados o finales de Mayo y muchas de ellas iluminadas. Nuestro guía local en destino nos asesorará sobre horarios, precios de forfaits, material de alquiler y otros detalles. Régimen alimenticio según alojamiento elegido.

Día 5 Ruka - Rovaniemi ( Aldea de Santa Claus ) - Ciudad de origen. 

Último día en tierras laponas. Tras desayunar, emprenderemos el camino de regreso a Rovaniemi. Llegada a la Aldea de Santa Claus, situada justo sobre la imaginaria y mágica línea del Círculo Polar Ártico, donde podremos visitar sus tiendas de artesanía y souvenirs, enviar una carta o postal desde la Oficina de Correos oficial de Papá Noel y visitar las diferentes atracciones que forman parte de este mundo mágico. Con esta visita conseguiremos poner el broche final a este viaje de ensueño. Continuación al aeropuerto, situado a menos de 3 km de la Aldea de Santa Claus. Trámites de facturación de nuestro vuelo directo con destino a su ciudad de origen. Durante el vuelo disfrutaremos de una merienda-cena a bordo con bebida incluida. Llegada y fin del viaje.

We have a selection of different types of accommodation in the Ruka area, from traditional looking cabins for large families with a capacity of up to 24 people, to slightly smaller log cabins, and the much sought after glass igloos for try to see the northern lights from your own accommodation and spend a most romantic stay. The cabins, with large windows to the Lappish nature and sizes ranging from 75 to 540 m², are located in the immediate vicinity of Iisaki Village or near Ruka, surrounded by the most authentic landscape of Lapland, close to several national parks. Ruka is probably the best ski resort in the country. The igloos are located in Iisaki village, next to Lake Rukajärvi and surrounded by spectacular nature. Any of the chosen options will be a complete success.

Cabins FOR LARGE FAMILIES (540 m²/ 12 double beds) – 12 rooms – (14 bathrooms – 16 showers)

This large cabin offers high standard accommodation for groups. Built in 2007, it is located next to Lake Rukajärvi, just a 10-minute drive from the center of Ruka. It has 540m2 distributed over two floors. There are 12 double rooms, each equipped with showers and toilets. In ten rooms there is also the possibility of adding an extra bed for one person. There is a large dining room where the whole family or group of friends can gather, a spacious kitchen, on the ground floor a sauna section and a room with a fireplace. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi that can be reserved with a supplement. Ecological geothermal energy is used in the heating of this cabin. Rental includes bed linen, hand towels and bath towels. Final cleaning is also included in the rent. Cross-country ski trails are 500 meters from the cottage.

This cabin is a semi-detached log house with two identical apartments that was built in 2019. It offers comfortable accommodation for families or small groups, right next to Iisakki Village. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine, total accommodation for 6 people. It is distributed over two floors with a total of 75m2. There is also a kitchen, living room with fireplace, bathroom with sauna and toilet and a separate toilet. Rental includes bed linen, hand towels and bath towels. Final cleaning is also included in the rent.

The amazing new glass villas are part of the Iisakki Village area in Ruka. They are located next to Lake Rukajärvi, in a beautiful natural environment. From the glass villas you can observe the surrounding nature and natural phenomena such as the northern lights. When you need a bit of privacy you can close the curtains and keep the roof window still open. Each villa sleeps two people and is equipped with a kitchenette, shower and toilet. You can also book a private sauna on the beach at an extra cost.
